The vice president of the regional symposium for the East reviews the conclusions of the Modernization Working Group in front of the university of El Oued
On January 23, 2023, Mr. Vice-President of the Regional Symposium for the East, Mr. Bouchaar Marzouk Fahim, supervised the work of the meeting of the University Modernization Working Group, which was hosted at the University of Elchahid Hamma Lakhdar.
The Rector of the University, Prof. Omar Farhati, welcomed the audience, which consisted of the Vice- Rector of the university, the deans of the faculties and the university executives.
The Vice-President of the regional symposium gave a presentation on the big screen on the conclusions of the Modernization Working Group and the proposed axes. According to the Ministry’s approach, the new fields have shrunk from 14 pedagogical and scientific fields to only five fields, and the number of divisions has decreased from about 80 divisions to 36 divisions. He explained that fields that are close, have been combined.
The vice-president of the regional symposium also presented the concept of university poles, which the ministry intends to adopt, these poles, which include a group of universities and the university center geographically close to each other.
