Today, February 14, 2023, the National Gendarmerie, in coordination with the University of Elchahid Hamma Lakhdar, carried out an awareness campaign for the benefit of the university students. The university’s MediaTek hall hosted this awareness campaign, in the presence of the representative of the regional group of the National Gendarmerie in El Oued, Lieutenant Colonel, the commander of the research platoon, accompanied by the group’s executives, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University on behalf of the Rector. The representative of the regional group of the National Gendarmerie gave the audience a presentation and explanations on how to join the National Gendarmerie and how to form the membership file, after he was introduced to the apparatus, its role and its multiple tasks in ensuring public security, maintaining order, implementing laws and regulations, and protecting the country and the citizen.
The awareness campaign witnessed an important response from the students, who asked many questions and concerns that were poured into the context of the campaign, to be answered by the regional group executives. This awareness campaign of the National Gendarmerie comes within the framework of a series of awareness campaigns that will be held at the level of all faculties.
