The Institute of Islamic Sciences of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar, in cooperation with the Laboratory of the contributions of Algerian Scholars to the Enrichment of Islamic sciences, organized, on November 15, 2022, the eighth International Forum entitled “The efforts of Western Islamic Scholars in the Application of the Quranic Text in Reality”, held in the Central Library’s distance learning room . The forum will last for two days.
The Forum took place under the patronage of the Rector of the University, Professor Omar FERHATI, with the President of the Forum, Professor Ibrahim RAHMANI, and the Director of the Forum, Doctor Abbas MANSER.
The activities of the International Forum began with the speech of the Director of the Forum, Dr. Manser Abbas, speaking on behalf of the Director of the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Professor Rahmani Ibrahim, who welcomed the honorable assistance present, and also thanked the Rector of the university, Professor Omar FERHATI, as Honorary President of the Forum, for his efforts in the service of science and knowledge, and of course the development of which the university witnessed at all levels. In the same way that he praised the efforts of the Vice-Rector of the university, Professor Abdelhalim Lassoued, but also for his warm presence.
The Eighth International Forum “Efforts of Islamic Western Scholars In The Application Quranic Text on Reality” seeks to monitor the efforts of Islamic Western scholars in dealing with Quranic texts according to the requirements of reality and to take into account the situation of our discourses, environments and times. The Forum is a success for the Islamic Science Institute and for the El Chahid Hamma Lakhdar University, which has the highest ranks.
The Director of the Forum also pointed out that this scientific demonstration aims mainly to see how do western Islamic scholars applicate the texts of the noble book in the reality to resolve their problems.
The Forum’s programme also includes four scientific sessions at a rate of two per day. The first session is chaired by Prof. Abdalaoui Youcef. The second session is chaired by Prof. Guedda Kamal and the third session is chaired by Prof. Bogzala Abdelkarim. The fourth session is chaired by Dr. Khadra Ali.
The vice r-rector Lassoued Abdelhalim in the behalf of the rector thanked the director of the Islamic Institute prof. Rahmani for his efforts and whishes all the success to its forum in its Eighth edition.
