University of El Oued

 

The Rector of the University meets the Uzbek students of the International Languages University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

 

Within the framework of international cooperation between universities, today, May 7, 2023, the Rector of Echahid  Hamma Lakhdar University – El Oued – Professor Omar Farahati, received a delegation of students from the International Languages University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which consists of a female professor and three first-level bachelor’s students . The Rector was accompanied by his Vice Rector in charge of  external relations, Professor Gueddah Elhabib, the Dean of the Faculty of Literature  and Languages, Professor Dalal Ouchen, Mr. General Secretary of the University Chaouki Mdallal, the University’s Media, Communication and Publishing Authority and a number of professors .

The Rector  welcomed the delegation and exchanged talks with them regarding their formation and the conditions of their stay, welcoming them to their second country, Algeria.

In their conversation with the Rector of the University, the students of Uzbekistan were impressed by the extent of the beauty of Algeria and the Wilaya of El-Oued and the kindness of its people, and that they do not feel alienated because the students and professors of the university and all the workers who ensure their good residence and formation were for them brothers and sisters.

They presented their deep thanks to  the Rector of the University and to the  Director of University Services and to all the family of Echahid  Hamma Lakhdar University.

This visit falls within the framework of the agreement recently signed between the Rector of the Uzbek University and the Rector of El Oued University, which among its provisions is the exchange of students and professors between the two universities for the purposes of learning Arabic for non-native speakers. The visit  which lasts ten days, includes a rich program to learn Arabic language, in addition to entertaining introductory tours of the city of the El Oued and its landmarks.
