The Central Library of El Oued University organizes a training course for students on the national system of online documentation SNDL
December 12, 2022, the Central Library of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar University organized a training course The national system of online documentation SNDL for the benefit of students of the Faculties of Exact Sciences and Technology.
The course was inaugurated on behalf of the Rector of the University, Professor Omar Farahati, his Vice-Rector in charge of pedagogy, Professor Mannai Bashir, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Professor Mansour Abdelouahhab, and the Director of the Central Library, Djabou Adila, accompanied by the library staff.
This training session aims to explain the mechanisms and how to use the documentation system, the university’s digital repository, and the method of searching in the library’s automated system. On the occasion, Mr. Sagni Belkacem and Ms. Hadjra Hani gave presentations about the SNDL online documentation system using technological and digital means, including data show , university website data, where the students were able to understand and assimilate the explanations provided, and they also asked many questions and some problems of a technical nature that intercept them.
According to the director of the library, this training course is the first of its kind in the university, pointing to the programming of similar courses during this week and the following week across all remaining faculties . It’s to mention that the number of participants in the national system of online documentation is estimated at 4,144,. The central library includes 12,132 book titles with a total of 31,639 copies distributed among various disciplines. The number of doctoral dissertations reached 415, magister’s theses 398, master’s theses 4410, and 215 university journals( academic and general journals.)
