The International Forum on Tourism Literature and its Impact on Cultural Investment, started today, November 15, 2022, and lasts for two days at El Chahid Hamma Lakhdar University, discusses the impact of tourism literature on cultural investment, and encouraging tourism.
This scientific activity is organized by the Faculty of Literature and Languages of the university , Algerian literature and its criticism Laboratory , Cognitive Integration between Arabic Language Sciences and Social Sciences Laboratory, and a research group for tourism discourse in Algerian literature.
When announcing the official opening of the forum, the university’s rector, Prof. Omar Farhatti, welcomed the guests of the forum, including professors and researchers from inside and outside the country, and students. The Rector of the University highlighted the importance of this scientific event directly related to tourism and culture, which makes the university present its scientific contributions to tourism and cultural investment.
The Director of Tourism in El Oued gave a speech on the occasion, during which he stressed the importance of linking the relationship between the tourism sector and the university, pointing out that his sector had previously benefited from the contributions of university professors in activating tourism paths in the state, calling for strengthening this strong relationship between the two sectors in other related fields.
For her part, the Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Languages, Professor Dalal Washen, confirmed that this subject was not discussed before at the Faculty of Literature and Languages, and it is new in the field and falls within the framework of the university’s openness to Its social and economic environment
The forum aims – according to the chair of the forum, Dr. Nawal Boumaza – to restore consideration to the role of literature in the development of social, cultural and economic structures and she stressed on the strong relationship between culture and tourism literature, investment and tourism. She also confirmed that a number of important points directly related to tourism literature and cultural investment will be discussed at the forum.
The forum recorded the participation of about 80 interventions by professors and researchers from Algerian and Arab universities from Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman, Iraq and Palestine. The interventions are distributed among the scientific sessions, research workshops, interventions via the technology of remote visual lectures.
