On Monday, May 01, 2023, Elchahid Hamma Lakhdar University received a delegation of the first batch of Uzbek students coming from the Uzbek State University of International Languages in order to learn Arabic at the Faculty of Literature and Languages. This educational and pedagogical process falls within the framework of the joint twinning agreement signed in February between El Oued University and Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

The Uzbek student delegation was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Literature  and Languages, Professor Dalal Ouchan, accompanied by the pedagogical staff consisting of the Vice Dean in charge of post-graduation, Professor Youssef  Layeb, and the Vice Dean in charge studies, Dr. Nasser Dahdah, as well as the Director of University Services, Damal Koraisha, accompanied by the head of the Department of Monitoring and Coordination, Moldi Chochani, and the director of the hosting residence, Baiji Abderahmane, in addition to the media and communication team of the university.

The Uzbek student delegation consists of three first-year undergraduate students and their supervising professor, Dr. Ogil Bint Omar.

This batch of Uzbek foreign students is a first exploratory batch to learn the Arabic language in a specific period before the end of the current university season, to be followed at the beginning of the next season by a second batch consisting of about 20 Uzbek students.

 The student delegation will benefit from an intensive study program to learn the Arabic language for non-native speakers under the supervision of expert professors well versed in this field at the Faculty of Literature and Languages.

The students and the supervising professor expressed their happiness for the warm welcome and hospitality.
