Today, April 10, 2023, the Rector of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar University, Prof. Omar Farahati, supervised a coordination and evaluation meeting for the first semester and the beginning of the second semester for the academic season 2022/2023 .

The Rector of the University, in this meeting, which lasted for seven hours, was accompanied by his Vice rectors, in charge of pedagogy, Prof. Bachir Mannai, in charge of external relations, Prof. Guedda Alhabib, and in charge of training in the third phase and scientific research, Prof. Boubaker Mansour. and Dr. Lassouad Abdelhaalim, in charge of development and foresight, and Mr. Chaouki Mdalal, Secretary-General of the University, who made presentations about their sectors.

In his opening speech, the University Rector highlighted the importance of evaluating the progress of the first and second semesters, as well as evaluating all the pedagogical and scientific work, training, scientific research, the digitization scheme, and others, in order to reach a better level for the university, which has reached a good level compared to other universities.

The meeting dealt with presenting and discussing the topics included in the agenda, which are as follows:

1- Presentation of a pedagogical evaluation of the first semester, the beginning of the second semester, and the deliberations of the Progress platform by the Vice Rector in charge of Pedagogy, Prof. Bachir Mannai.

2- Presentation of the beginning of the study in the doctoral phase and the evaluation of registration and discussions by the Vice Rector in charge Training and Scientific Research, Prof. Mansour Boubaker.

3. Presentation of the evaluation of the SDN digitization program by the Vice in charge of Extrenal External Relations, Prof. Guedda Alhabib and the Head of the Networks Department engineer Samir Guediri .

4 -A presentation on the status of investment projects received and programmed and statistics by the Vice Rector in charge of Development and Foresight, Prof. Dr. Abdelhalim Lasoud.

5 – A presentation on the popularization of the English language by Dr. Nasr Dahdah, Vice Dean in charge of studies at the Faculty of Literature and Languages who is responsible of the teacher training file in the English language.

6- A presentation on the classification and visualization of the university (THE, QS, the current situation and the problems raised) presented by the charged cell consisting of Prof. Ammar Zoubi, Prof. Zohir Tair and Prof. Abdelkader Laouid.

7- A presentation on the budget and human resources presented by the Secretary General of the University, Mr. Chaouki Mdallal.

8- A presentation on the status of university services in terms of feeding, accommodation and transportation of students, presented by the Director of University Services, Professor Djamal Koraicha.

9-A presentation on patent projects and an start-up presented by the incubator director, Dr. Farhat Mohammed Fouad, who said that the projects reached 170 registered projects.

The University Rector also stressed the need to implement the positive observations and suggestions agreed upon.

Among what was decided during the meeting was to set the start date for the second semester exams on May 20. The University Rector also formed a committee to control the statistical status of students, in addition to a decision to attach the Covid laboratory at the Faculty of Nature and Life to the new medicine annex, which will open its doors to medical students in the next season.
