The National Forum, “The Effectiveness of Oversight of public procurement in Algerian Legislation,” at El Oued University
On Sunday, December 18, 2022, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar organized a national forum entitled “The Effectiveness of Oversight of Public procurement in Algerian Legislation.”
It was in partnership with the laboratory of public policies and the improvement of public service in Algeria, the laboratory of international legal transformations and their implications for Algerian legislation and the research team PRFU entitled: The system of public transactions between national and foreign legislation.
The opening of the forum was supervised on behalf of the Rector of the University, Prof. Omar Farhati, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Al-Daradji Makki
The forum was attended by professors from different Algerian universities, as well as a students from the faculty.
The beginning was with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the Faculty, then Mr. Djawadi Ilias, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Forum, explained the problematic that the Forum deals with and the most important points that will be discussed.
For these goals, the interventions amounting to about 50 interventions were distributed across four main axes: control at the level of administration and public institutions, control of financial bodies representing the Minister of Finance, external control of public procurement, and oversight of the Court of Accounts on public procurement.
