The launch of the PhD contest  2022/2023 at El Oued University

Today, February 4, 2023, the Rector of Elchahid Hamma Lakhdar University of  El Oued, Prof. Omar Farahati, supervised the launch of the 2022/2023 PhD competition on its first day at the Faculty of Literature and Languages, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and the Faculty of Law and Political Science.

The Rector of the University was accompanied by the Rector of the University of Algiers 2, Prof. Boumaazza Said, the Vice-Rector in charge of Scientific Researches, Prof. Boubaker Mansour, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Prof. Darradji Maki.

And the Vice of dean of the faculty of Social and Human Sciences for, Professor Dif Lazhar, and the vice- Dean of the faculty of Literature and Languages, Dr. Dahda Nasser.

The University Rector and his accompanying delegation assisted  the opening of questions envelopes and a part of the process of printing contests  questions, in the presence of some examinees students.

The Rector of the University confirmed that the examination process is taking place in very excellent conditions from a logistical, pedagogical and psychological point of view, Adding that the second part of the doctoral exam will be next Saturday, February 11, 2023.

this year the university offers  new specializations in PhD English language and philosophy.

According to the Vice Rector of the University in charge of scientific research, the total number of candidates for the doctoral competition at the university this year reached 8477 candidates distributed in 12 divisions and 23 majors, while the number of proposed positions reached 72 positions, and the number of candidates for the competition in the Faculty of Literature  and Languages is estimated at 749 candidates. The English Language Division has 3 majors and in the Faculty of Law and Political Science 2182 candidates distributed over the specialization of business law  with 580 candidates, the specialization of administrative law with1106 candidates and the specialization of real estate law with496 candidates.

As for the faculty of Social and Human Sciences, the number of candidates reached 1,194, distributed in Philosophy with 386 candidates, Media and Communication Sciences with 808 candidates in 3 majors: Audiovisual with 255 candidates, Print and Electronic Journalism with 149 candidates, and Mass Communication and New Media with 404 candidates.
