The Rector of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar, Professor Omar FERHATI, inspected on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the faculties of natural and life sciences, and of social and human sciences, in part of the execution of the program covering a series of field work visits of the faculties of the university
The Rector of the university was accompanied by the administrative team of the central administration, which included the Vice-rector in charge of pedagogy, the Vice-rector in charge of development and forecasting, the Secretary general of the university and the head of the Center for Information Systems and Networks, met with the administrative team of each of the two faculties. First of all, the Rector of the university undertook his working visit with the team of the central administration of the faculty of natural and life sciences, where he met his administrative team, starting with the Dean of the faculty, Professor Abdelmalek ZAATER. Then, the Rector of the university made a presentation on the university, emphasizing the importance of the faculty of natural and life sciences in scientific research, in the field of publication and laboratory activity, especially the COVID-19 laboratory, and especially since it was officially accredited.
The Rector of the university also indicated that he attached increased importance to the principle of solidarity between this faculty and the faculties of technology and exact sciences, particularly in the field of laboratory equipment and teaching materials. He calls the faculty administrative team to encourage publication in international academic journals as Scopus. In addition, the Rector addressed various organizational aspects such as discipline, respect of deadlines, calendar, absences, compensations and others. For their part, the members of the faculty administrative team raised a number of issues highlighted in this meeting, which reflect some challenges for the faculty.
During the discussions, the central administration team also formulated reflections and suggestions on what could be improved or done differently, for example doctoral projects, registration in the Progress system, supervision, recruitment, transfers, staff promotions, the situation of laboratories and financial aspects.
At the end of the meeting, the Rector of the university expressed his deep thanks to the entire administrative team as well as to the entire family of the faculty of natural and life sciences, the teachers , students and employees, for all their tireless efforts and their contribution to the numerous achievements of research and scientific projects in the region. For its part, the faculty of social and human sciences, the inspection visit was characterized by a meeting between the team of the central administration and the administrative team of the faculty, headed by the Dean of the faculty , Professor Ammar GHERAISSA. On this occasion, the Rector of the university highly praised the staff of the faculty and the spirit of solidarity that reigns within his family, also noting the success story regarding the pace of progress of the Progress platform , as well as the efforts of academic publication in international journals of the advanced category, without forgetting of course, to pay tribute to its teachers, who have made significant scientific achievements. During the meeting, a number of points were raised, such as financial rights in particular for projects and the need for new rooms, with the aim of promoting good quality education, university research-training (PRFU), the speed of the flow of the Internet, moreover the conclusion of agreements with the media and various research centers – yesterday and still today to work, tirelessly, to open a MASTER – Psychology , specialty: Clinical psychology and, other points of interest to the faculty.
After discussing and providing further useful and relevant explanations, moreover reflected the value of the exchanges . Rector of the university listened attentively, and expressed his most great words of thanks and appreciation to all the administrative staff, the entire faculty family, teachers, students and employees, and that all the points raised are given priority in all the tasks of the central team because they contribute to high-level educational and scientific research products.
