The Rector of the University of El Oued  honors the members of the pedagogical committee for teaching the Arabic language to Uzbek students

Today, November 30, 2023, the Rector of the University of Echahid  Hamma Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, supervised a ceremony honoring members of the pedagogical staff for teaching the Arabic language and its sciences to students from the Republic of Uzbekistan who are non-native speakers, in the Faculty of Literature  and Languages.

The celebration ceremony was attended by the Vice Rector in charge of  Pedagogy, Professor Bachir Manai, the representative of the Director of University Services, Mr. Ali bin Khalifa, the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dalal Ouchen, her Deputy for Studies, Dr. Dahda Nasr, and the heads of departments at the Faculty, respectively, the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Mesbahi Abdel Aziz, and the Head of the French Language Department, Dr. Ghouli Mohammad Alamin, Head of the English Language Department, Dr. Sahrawi Balkasim, Head of the Translation Department, Dr. Tarik Saeed, and members of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages, in addition to the presence of Uzbek students.

The Dean of the Faculty  thanked the University Rector for honoring the Faculty, attending the honoring ceremony, and for his unlimited support for the faculty’s promotion and the educational program project for international students. She also praised the efforts of the members of the pedagogical committee for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in making the educational process a success for the Uzbek students who have reached a distinguished level in the Arabic language, which gained the satisfaction of the Minister and the university family. She  also congratulated the University Rector on ranking first nationally in the “Study in Algeria” tag.

The Rector of the University congratulated the Dean of the Faculty and its administrators, especially the members of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching the Arabic Language to International Students, for their noble mission in teaching the Arabic language to Uzbek students in a systematic and professional manner that made them a pioneering role model for other international students that our university will receive in the coming days. The University Rector also spoke about the importance of the Arabic language as it is the language of the Holy Qur’an and the unifier of Islamic civilization and culture that links Algeria, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the rest of the Islamic countries, recalling great Uzbek scholars such as Imam al-Bukhari, and other great scholars. He confirmed that an invitation had been sent to faculty members from other Uzbek universities to visit our university to conclude agreements and strengthen scientific, pedagogical and cultural cooperation .

By the way, the Chairman of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages, Dr. Hamza Hamada, thanked the University Rector and the accompanying staff for the interest and gesture of honor. Some Uzbek students also expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Rector of the University, the Director of University Services and its administrators, the Dean of the Faculty and its administrators, and especially their professors for the care they provide.
