Echahid Hamma Lakhdar University – El Oued – the first university to launch a website for a five-star student
Today, May 22, 2023, in the Great Lecture Hall, Abu AlKasim Saad Allah, at the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar-El Oued the evaluation symposium for the reforms and modernization of the higher education sector was held within the framework of introducing the program outlined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that concerns local workshops on the modernization of higher education, In the presence of the representative and vice-president of the regional symposium of Eastern universities, Professor Bouchaar Marzouk, and the representative of the symposium office, Professor Kaawan Mohamed.
The Rector of the University, Prof. Omar Farhati, opened the symposium and explained the great importance of this symposium, evaluating and guiding the sessions of the reforms of the higher education sector and its modernization, and to the recommendations of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Vice -Rector of university in charge of scientific research Prof. Aboubaker Mnssour gave a detailed presentation of the program and calendar prepared at the university, including the formation of committees, the appointment of coordinators, and a summary of the Faculties ‘ reports.
The workshops are in nine fields, as follows:
Workshop 1: Education and training
Workshop 2: Employment of graduates, innovation, and the development of entrepreneurial culture
Workshop 3: Doctoral training and university research.
Workshop 4: Students’ living framework
Workshop 5: University Governance
Workshop 6: New suggestions for pedagogical organization.
Workshop 7: The visibility and attractiveness of the university and its international radiance.
Workshop 8: Legal and regulatory support.
Workshop 9: University social and community responsibility and social demand.
The Vice-President of the Regional Symposium for the East, Prof. Bouchaar Marzouk started the works of the symposium. He referred to the reforms examined by the Ministry and discussed a number of important points and some improvements that are in the interest of the student. He refers to the importance of digitization, which has positive effects on the university students , stressed the need to coordinate between university officials and university services to ensure a good university life of and to provide the opportunities to modernize the higher education sector,
The Rector of the University concluded the symposium with a special thanks to the President of the Regional Symposium for the East, Professor Latrach Mohamed El-Hadi, his deputy, Professor Bouchaar Marzouk, the representative of the symposium office, Professor Kaawan Mohamed, and to all the members of the regional symposium of the Eastern Universities for the efforts made to embody the strategy and objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
