El Oued University is ranked 141 out of a total of 217 classified Arab universities
According to the results provided by Times Higher Education (THE), in the 2022 edition of the World University Rankings ,The University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar obtains an honorable score by being ranked 141 among 217 Arab universities that fulfilled the conditions for classification and ranking out of a total of hundreds of Arab universities. It also ranked 14 at the national level. Those conditions are based on covering universities’ teaching, research, outreach into the community and the global image .
The classification developed by (THE) which is one of the most relevant sources in publishing university rankings is based on 13 performance indicators that encompass all areas of activity of the university: teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and global image. The classification compares around 1600 universities worldwide( 99 country).
The classification of El Oued University came after it achieved the classification criteria, which is the university’s achievement of at least a score of 500 scientific articles published at the level of global databases SCOPUS, and this was during the last four years (2017-2021), while we find nearly 50 Arab universities that did not achieve this exclusionary condition.
It is no secret that this classification is general (Overall), meaning that it includes both citations for scientific research issued by the university and the international view of the university and scientific research, as well as both education and society, as Al-Wadi University has achieved very advanced ranks at the level of citations, as it ranked fourth nationally, which indicates strength and sobriety Scientific research issued by the university over the last five years.
