In implementation of the instructions of the Rector of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar – El Oued – Professor Omar Farhati, and the program directed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Professor Mekki Daradji, directed to the students, especially with regard to the pedagogical aspect and consolidating the knowledge they receive; every year, field visits are scheduled for them to institutions and bodies related to the students’ specializations in the faculty , whether law students or political science students
In this regard, the faculty students traveled to Algiers to conduct a field visit to the National Assembly, the Constitutional Court, and the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption
This outing began with a visit to the headquarters of the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption, where the students received an official reception by members and frameworks of the Authority, and they received many explanations about its establishment, structures and powers, and all their questions were answered.
The delegation then visited the Constitutional Court, where it was given an official, high-level reception by members of the Constitutional Court. At the beginning of the visit, the delegation was welcomed by members of the court with words of motivation, followed by a speech by the representative of the delegation on behalf of the faculty family. After that, the students toured the court’s facilities, where the members of the court gave comprehensive explanations on the establishment of the court, its structure, its powers, and the conduct of its sessions and work. Then the students went to the court’s library, which is full of many important references. The students then moved to the court’s historical gallery and then the main hall for meetings and deliberations
The academic trip concluded with a visit to one of the most important institutions of the state, namely the National Assembly, where the delegation received an official reception by the Vice President of the Council and a significant number of representatives, as well as the Secretary-General and the Council’s executives, especially since it is considered the first visit of a student delegation from the university to the National Assembly, where it toured. The students visited all its structures, especially the main hall for sessions, as well as the offices and departments of the Council, accompanied by some of the executives who provided extensive explanations to the students, including the origins, composition, and powers of the Council and the deliberations mechanisms in the upper chamber of Parliament
All visits concluded with the presentation of commemorative medals in the name of the university and faculty in commemoration of the visit and in memory of the university, its students and its staff
The students expressed their great happiness with this visit, especially the extent to which they benefited from it by linking their theoretical knowledge with the applied aspects. The frameworks of the concerned institutions also gained, through this visit, a good image and a good impression on the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, and all its university family
