International forum for renewable energies and their applications at the University of El Oued

Today, November 21, 2023, the international forum on “Renewable Energies and Their Applications” was launched . It was organized by the Renewable Energies Research and Development Unit in coordination with the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar in the Grand Lecture Hall, Abou Al-Kasim Saadallah.

This scientific event was supervised by the University Rector, Professor Omar Farhati, in the presence of the University Vice Rector for Scientific Research, Professor Boubakar Mansour, the deans of the faculties, the director of the forum, Dr. Loussif Khaled Mohamed Al-Tayeb, members of the scientific committee of the forum headed by Dr. Aoun Yassine, the organizing committee of the forum headed by Dr. Hima Abdel kader, and the family of the faculty of exact  sciences and the faculty of technology, researchers and professors participating remotely from inside and outside the country and students.

At the beginning, the attendees observed a minute of silence to pay respect to the souls of the martyrs of Gaza and Palestine. The forum was opened by the Rector of the University, who welcomed the attendees. He also thanked all the contributors to this scientific event, including the Dean of the Faculty, the Chairman of the Forum, and professors with experience in the field. He also thanked the joint work of the research professors and the movement in the Unit for Research and Development of Renewable Energies, which became a distinguished pole of technology, and  he urged its development from a research unit to a research center. He also touched on the importance of the scientific event and the world’s directives for renewable energies, wishing success for this scientific event.

For his part, the President of the Forum gave a welcoming speech to the attendees and an introductory overview of the Forum and its objectives, thanking the University Rector and everyone who contributed to the Forum for the efforts made.

According to the president of the forum, about 12 oral interventions and 63 interventions in the form of posters were programmed.

The forum touched on studying several topics about renewable energies and their applications resulting from natural sources such as sunlight, wind, and others, as they are sources that are constantly renewed and are an important influence in the future for use in homes, companies, and several fields.

This scientific event aims to bring together specialists in the field of renewable energies and their applications to exchange ideas, experiences and scientific research that have been achieved. It serves doctoral students to improve their knowledge, interact with specialists and establish strong research relationships.
