Professor Guedda Elhabib  Director of the Higher School of Desert Agriculture in El Oued

Today, November 15, 2023, the Rector of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, inaugurated  Professor Gueda Elhabib , the former Vice Rector of the University in caharge of  External Relations, as the new Director of the Higher School of Desert Agriculture, succeeding former  Director, Professor Sagai Soufyane.

The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of the Director of University Services, the Vice-Rectors of the University, the Deans of Faculties, the Secretary-General of the University, the Secretary-General of the Higher School of Desert Agriculture, representatives of the Central Media and Communication Cell, and members of the University Visibility Cell.

During the inauguration ceremony, the University Rector expressed his thanks and gratitude for the efforts made by the former Director of the Higher School of Desert Agriculture. He also expressed his appreciation for the new director, who has long experience in his professional, pedagogical, scientific and administrative path, which would give new effectiveness to the school, making it a vital pole in serving development in the south and the region. Both the former director and the new director gave speeches on the occasion in which they thanked the University Rector for his fruitful cooperation in making the Higher School of Agriculture a success, as it is an important component of the university city. The attendees offered words of thanks and gratitude to both parties in a fraternal atmosphere.

The new director of the Higher School, Professor Guedda Elhabib , who specializes in atomic physics, has a long professional, scientific and administrative path, as he held the position of Head of the Research Department at the Ain Oussarah Research Center in the years 1997-2001.

Head of the field of material sciences at the University of El Oued, director of the Institute of Technology 2006-2008, dean of the Faculty of Technology 2008-2013, and ending as Vice Rector of the University in charge of  External Relations and Cooperation 2013-2023. Recently, he was appointed chairman  of the national committee to follow up on international twinning agreements between universities, in addition to his membership in several regional  and national scientific and research committees. He has also served as professor and researcher at several universities and research centers, including the University of Algiers, Kobba, Harrach and Ouargla, and a professor of physics at the University of El Oued since 2002.
