The Algerian and Tunisian 5 + 5 cooperation agreement

Within the framework of the Algerian and Tunisian 5 + 5 cooperation agreement, Professor Omar Ferhati The Rector of the University of El Oued Signed on May 12, 2023 a cooperation and partnership agreements between El Oued University and the Universities of : jendouba, Gafsa, Gabes, Sfax and Kairouan.

It is to be mentioned that in the meeting between Algerian and Tunisian Universities 5+5 the two parties discussed the:

1- Evaluating and implementing the outcomes of the Annaba November 2022 meeting and proposing short, medium and long-term programs.

2- Evaluating the progress of the digital platform, and suggesting many points within the framework of expanding and using the platform and the involvement of all research professors in it.

3- Approving the hosting of Elchahid Hamma Lakhdar University for the third meeting scheduled for December 2023, which will witness in parallel an important scientific and international meeting related to international doctoral days, innovation exhibitions, student achievements, and many cultural and sports activities.

4- Exchange of students in the framework of a doctorate from both parties, after contacting the two ministries to consider the legal conditions.

5- Suggest meetings between representatives of laboratories in fields and topics of common scientific interest.

6- Organizing forums on topics of priority and mutual interest.

The meeting concluded with the signing of 25 twinning agreements between Algerian universities and their Tunisian counterparts.
