A training workshop for “Libre Office and Mx Linux” programs for employees of the administrative and technical departments at the University of El Oued
Under the guidance of the Rector of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, and in implementation of the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research related to “preventing the use of illegal programs at the level of university institutions,” today, November 7, 2023, the University’s Vice Rector in charge of Scientific Research, Professor Boubakar Mansour, supervised the opening of the training workshop on Libre programs. office Mx linux in the Grand Lecture Hall, Abu Al-Kasim Saadallah, and in the presence of the Vice Rector of the University in charge of Development and Foresight, the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, and a number of university executives and employees. The training workshop included employees of the university’s administrative departments in coordination with the Department of Training and Improvement under the supervision of Mrs. Ghawal Fayza and the supervision of Mr. laid knioua.
The training workshop aimed to explain the mechanisms for using” Libre Office” programs and adopting them basically on all computers belonging to the university institution and for administrative departments as an alternative to the unlicensed Microsoft Office program, the obligatory transition to legal and licensed operating systems, activating the “MX Linux” program instead of unlicensed and pirated “Windows” systems,
