A meeting of the Scientific Council of El Oued University
Today, 10/25/2023, the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, supervised a meeting that included its members, the university’s Vice Rectors, the deans of the Faculties, the director of the central library, and representatives of the professors.
At the beginning, the attendees pause a minute of silence to pay respect to the soul of the late Professor Ismail Al-Eis and the martyrs of Gaza.
The attendees discussed a number of points and listened to some presentations made by the university’s Vice Rectors in charge of pedagogy, external relations, scientific research, as well as a presentation on the visualization and classification of the university’s website, presented by Professor Tair Zohair.
The Vice Rector in charge of scientific research also gave a presentation on the ongoing preparations for the second international interdisciplinary forum for doctoral students in 2023, which will be organized on December 11-12, for which the topic “The Artificial Intelligence Revolution – Challenges, Prospects and Ethics” was chosen.
During the meeting, the university Rector praised the efforts made by the university family to start studies on time. He also mentioned the five new specializations for this year: medicine, veterinary medicine, translation, and two specializations in engineering. He also called on qualified people to participate in the university’s classification and visualization committee in order to improve publication and visibility at the national and global levels.
The meeting included discussions and suggestions that were in the interest of the university’s pedagogical and scientific system.
