El Oued University participates in the awareness-raising session on the role of civil society in activating the mechanism of Unconstitutionality exception. 

Today, October 22, 2023, the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar – El Oued – participated in the awareness-raising session entitled “The Role of Civil Society in Activating the Mechanism  of Unconstitutionality exception”. The session activities were opened on behalf of the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Ammar Boudiaf, a member of the Constitutional Court, accompanied by Mr. Said Akhrouf, the Wali of El Oued.

the awareness-raising session which  took place at  the Golden Gazelle was organized by the Constitutional Court. The main participants are  the President of the Wilay People’s Assembly, members of the Security Committee, representatives of the judiciary, the University  Vice Rector, Professor Boubaker Mansour, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Professor Mekki Dradji, the President of the El Oued District, members and executives of the Constitutional Court, representatives of the National Observatory for Civil Society, representatives of Parliament, representatives of the United Nations Development Programme, professors, lawyers, research professors, and elected officials in the Wilaya.

The University of the El Oued participated in the awareness-raising sessions, represented by a number of professors and students of the Faculty of Law and Political Science.

Dr. Ahlam Haras  from the university gave a presentation entitled “The openness of the constitutional judiciary to individuals and its role in consecrating the principles of citizenship.” The awareness-raising courses come within the framework of spreading constitutional culture and strengthening the functions of awareness-raising which is at the heart of A partnership program between the Constitutional Court and the United Nations Development Programme.
