Discussion of the first PhD thesis with zero paper at El Oued University

Today, March 09, 2023, the defense of the first doctoral thesis with zero paper was launched electronically at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Life at Echahid Hamma Lakhdar University – El Oued – by the student Laib Ibtisam in the Biological Sciences Division. This is considered the first student to discuss with zero paper at El Oued University under the title:

A Green synthesis and characterization of silver nano particles based on Helianthemum lippii L.extract and evaluation of their biological activities.

The discussion was in the presence of the Vice Rector of the university in charge of Scientific Research, Prof. Boubaker Mansour, Professors Madeela Ifriqiya, Laouini Salaheddine, Hammoudi Rokaya and Ben Kharara Saleh. The phd thesis was under the supervision of Prof. Djahra Ali Boutellis. The process of studying the discussion file was supervised from its inception by the Vice Dean in charge of the third phase, Dr. Salmane Mahdi And the engineer, Knioua Laid who is in charge of networks at the university.

All steps were done electronically using the platform( Progress). At the end of the process, a permit for the discussion was issued, signed by the University Rector, Professor Omar Farhati, so that the discussion would be announced electronically on the platform.

This procedure, which was approved by the administration of El Oued University and which was followed closely and with great care by the Dean of the faculty, Dr. Zaatar Abdelmalik, aims to reduce the financial burden on the student, go towards digitization, and discuss graduation notes and letters with zero paper.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the institution’s project is working to avoid the traditional process and passing directly towards electronic publishing through the official websites of the university, and through social networking sites dedicated to the same purpose, within the framework of encouraging digitization and the use of technologies in various university activities, which is what has borne fruit In occupying honorable ranks during the recent period.
