El-Oued University organizes an international forum on the new directions of Algerian diplomacy in Africa
 

Today, November 15, at the University of El Chahid  Hamma Lakhdar, the international forum on the new directions of Algerian diplomacy in Africa in its seventeenth edition was launched. It is organized by the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences,  Laboratory of  General policies and public service improvement in Algeria  and Laboratory of International legal transformations and their implications for Algerian legislation .

The Rector of the University, Prof. Omar Farhati, announced the opening of the scientific event  in the presence of professors and researchers. The Rector of the University considered that the forum comes in political circumstances and changes that Algeria is experiencing.                      The university’s rector  drew attention to the importance of investing in the university student  focusing on the student’s benefit from such scientific events. He also  referred to the achievements and successes achieved by El Oued  University over the few past years.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Prof. Al Daradji Maki, this scientific event deals with the presentation and discussion of several points as  the conceptual framework of Algerian diplomacy in Africa, the role of Algerian diplomacy in promoting security and stability, spreading the culture of reconciliation and peace in the African continent, the role of Algerian economic diplomacy in activating the African development, the Algerian diplomacy in Africa and its prospects, and the impact of international events and changes on the role of the Algerian diplomacy in Africa.

  According to the dean of the faculty , the forum aims to shed light on the foreign political behavior of Algeria, especially in Africa and studying how to  activate Algerian economic diplomacy to develop partnership and peace in the continent  . It aims also to highlight  Algerian approach in security challenges in the African continent, such as combating terrorism and organized crime, and examining the possibility of generalizing this approach and employing it in solving the problems of the continent.

  According to the organizing body of the forum, about 30 interventions have been programmed, (scientific sessions, research workshops, and interventions through the technology of remote visual lectures).
