Technical days to establish an excellence pole  for artificial intelligence applications in desert agriculture at El Oued University 

Today, February 25, the Rector of the University of Echahid  Hamma Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farahati, supervised the opening of the technical days on the establishment of an excellence pole for artificial intelligence applications in desert agriculture at El Oued  University. He was  accompanied by his Vice Rector in charge of external relations, Professor Gudda Alhabib, and the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Professor Abdelouahab Mansour, , in the presence of Professor Mokhtar Salami, central director of the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRT), directors of the Higher National Schools of Desert Agriculture in the El Oued and Adrar , professors Solimani Noureddine  and professor Ouadou Abdelkader , the director of the Research Unit in Agriculture INRA in Touggourt  Barrakabih Mohamed, professors representatives of the Research Center CRSTRA, director of the incubator and the entrepreneurial house of the university, and a number of professors, researchers and directors of laboratories  from inside and outside the country, a number of investors in agriculture, economic institutions, representatives of public administration bodies and specialists in artificial intelligence UPEC.

The technical days of artificial intelligence witnessed the participation of a delegation from the University of Paris East Artificial East.

Professor Abdelhamid Malouk from the University of Paris gave a lecture  ,through the video-lecture technique, on artificial intelligence and its uses in desert agriculture.

The technical days aim to establish a research center of excellence for artificial intelligence applications in desert agriculture in order to activate the scientific side and exploit the research for the benefit of the region in the field of desert agriculture, improve production and productivity, and achieve the optimal return on desert resources in order to reach food security.
