Signing a twinning agreement between El Oued University and a Russian University in Tatarstan
Today, February 27, 2023, the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar-El Oued signed a twinning agreement with theNaberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University, in the Republic of Tatarstan, in the Russian Federation. The agreement was signed for El Oued University, by its Rector, Professor Omar Farhati, and on behalf of the Tatar-Russian University, its Rector, Professor Gualyak Pirova Alvynor, who was accompanied by Professor Sharafov Oleg.
The signing ceremony, which took place in the central meeting hall, was attended by the Vice Rectors in charge of the external relations and in charge of pedagogy, development and foresight, the director of the Higher School of Desert Agriculture, the deans of the faculties and their deputies in charge of studies, and the Secretary-General of the university.
During the meeting, The Vice Rector of El Oued University exposed a video presentation about the university, its faculties, its various educational and scientific facilities, the number of students, and the diversity of its disciplines. The Russian delegation also gave a similar presentation on the educational university in its country. The rectors of the two universities exchanged talks about ways of joint cooperation between them. And student and scientific exchanges between the two parties.
This agreement concluded between the two parties would allow student exchanges and scientific missions. The Russian delegation also expressed the possibility of opening a branch of the Russian Center for Russian Culture and Language at the level of the Language Intensive Education Center. On the occasion, the Russian delegation visited the various laboratories of the Faculty of Nature and Life, where it expressed its admiration for the remarkable development that El Oued University has reached in several fields. The Rector of the Tatar University will also give a lecture tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences, in the occasion the guest delegation will make a tour in the city of a thousand domes. and several aspects of the Oued Souf region.
The Russian Tatar Pedagogical University has 7 faculties and one institute for additional vocational education and training, with more than 5,000 students, including 7 percent of foreigners. The university’s educational program also includes 70 educational programs, more than 300 additional educational programs, two innovation spaces, 3 regional innovation platforms, and 22 research and development groups. The university is also linked within the framework of international university cooperation agreements with 13 countries in the world.
